Benedikt Pauka, born 1971, studied law at the universities of Frankfurt/M. and Bonn and worked as a research assistant during his studies at the Institute for Criminal Science and the Philosophy of Law at the University of Frankfurt/M. (Prof. Dr. Wolf Paul, chair for the theory of law, methodology of law, and comparative law) and at the Institute for Criminal Law at the University of Bonn (Prof. Dr. Hans-Ullrich Paeffgen, chair for criminal law, criminal procedure law, and the history of criminal law). After completing his studies, he worked as a research associate at the Institute for Criminal Law at the University of Bonn and at the International Students' Office at the University of Bonn.
After admission to the German Bar Association in 2002, he first worked as an associate in the criminal law department of a law firm specializing in commercial criminal law, and as an independent lawyer beginning in 2007 in a law office in Cologne specializing in criminal law. In 2006 and 2007 he was a member of the board of the Association of Defense Attorneys in Rhineland Palatinate/Saarland e.V. In 2011, he founded the law firm Pauka, von Dreden & Link in Cologne along with Holger Link and Julia von Dreden.
